I bar hopped the night life scene here in Barrio Barretto and came up with four obvious, best choices for a fun night out. Here are my choices along with some pictures. I rated the bars on cold beer and soft drinks, music not too loud, and friendly staff.
All four choices have lots of pretty girls and a friendly staff. These places are all popular with the locals, the expatriate residents, and the vacationers. The beer was reasonably priced at about one dollar US or 40 pesos. The Midnight Rambler has two pool tables.
Number one choice is the Midnight Rambler. It has a band but you can still hear yourself talk. It has a nice big circular bar, some surrounding nook type bars. And it has an open air area facing the beach where you have a really great view of Subic Bay and the former Navy Base. The pretty and friendly girls, the pool tables, and a really nice bar make the Midnight Rambler number one choice for a night out on the town tropical style.
Number two is the 20 20 Bar. It has nice music, lots of pretty dancing girls and a great location right on main street. Good ambiance, cold beer and warm girls make this a shoe in for number two.
Number three is the old standby from the 1960s. It is Mangos. Mangos has a nice open air bar facing the bay, a dancing girl night club called the Bunny Ranch, and lots of cold beer. A good place to chat with a friendly girl and have a tall cold drink at the bar.
Number four is Club One. Located right on main street and close to all the night life, Club One is an established dancing girl night club. As you enter the club you are facing the stage with pretty dancing girls. Booths are on the left and the bar is on the right. Music is not too loud and the beer is quite reasonalbe and very cold. Club One's obvious attraction is the dancing girls on the stage. The full length mirrors just add to the dancing and create that extra excitement. Have a cold beer, chat with a girl, and maybe make a rendezvous for later in the evening.
There are lots of reasons to vacation in Subic Bay and Baretto and these are just four obvious ones. In addition, there are good restaurants, nice hotels, and some really nice tropical scenery and beaches. So see for yourself and fly to your south seas adventure in Subic Bay, Philippines.
